enriching, remarkably valuable and rewarding experience. He is extremely knowledgeable in the workings
of the production community, and was a fun and engaging lecturer. Working with CWB has been a very
positive experience and our student’s have benefitted through the knowledge gained and the great talent
they have worked with …their productions have evolved into phenomenal artistic and technical
achievements, in large part due to the talent pool assembled through CWB.”

“Glenn Hall of Casting Workbook is a tremendous resource for film production students at Humber
College. His collaboration and assistance in the casting process of our student productions has enabled
students to work with professional actors year after year. In addition to being highly organized and
resourceful, Glenn Hall has a very positive approach to working with students and facilitating networking
among emerging talent and professionals.”
Eva Ziemsen, HUMBER COLLEGE

For the past six years, Glenn has worked closely with our senior directing students, providing them with invaluable advice and mentorship. His insider knowledge of local agents, actors and our Canadian film
industry is essential — he’s able to see things from all angles, having worked from the casting, agent and

GRADUATING ACTORS OUTREACH PROGRAM

“As an acting teacher for our conservatory students in the Department of Theatre at York University, I have made it a mainstay of the curriculum for our 4th Year B.F.A. students to have an annual visit from Glenn Hall of Casting Workbook. Our students are hungry for insights into the profession to which they aspire and Glenn provides that with a captivating session laden with useful information about all aspects of the business. Glenn’s multifaceted experience in a wide range of endeavours in our industry gives him abundant “street cred” with our actors. His detailed presentation is delivered with an infectious enthusiasm and he goes out of his way to include our students in a most engaging dialogue about the nuts-and-bolts of an actor’s life that extends far beyond the wonderful services provided by Casting Workbook.”
Mark Wilson, Acting, Department of Theatre, YORK UNIVERSITY

“Glenn’s industry lecture was timely and helpful. Students commented that his delivery was funny and engaging, and perhaps most importantly, that the talk gave them hope for their future careers. We look forward to bringing you back next year to motivate and educate our next group of actor soon-to-be graduates.”
Andrew Cuk Ph.D., Dept. of Theatre and Music, CÉGEP JOHN ABBOTT COLLEGE

“The second-year (soon to be graduating) acting students are still’buzzing’ from your visit. You presented so much tremendous information and direction as to “dos and dont’s” when graduates enter the marketplace. It’s all very exciting for them as they “prepare to launch” hearing perspectives from knowledgeable industry people.”
Martin Doyle, Coordinator, Acting for Film & Television, NIAGARA COLLEGE

“Glenn Hall ‘s industry lecture provides valuable, insightful, and incredibly useful information to our acting classes. He walks our students through the process of using Casting Workbook, and covers other important topics such as the electronic casting process, choosing materials for electronic submissions, actor self-tapes and finding agents. He has been a terrific addition to our Business of Acting class, with both 2nd and 3rd year students and brings a warm personality, lively lecture style, and a healthy sense of humour into the classroom. Promoting our grads in Casting Workbook’s first look “Featured Acting Schools” section brought them front and centre to Local Casting Directors and Agents.”
James Simon, Artistic Director, GEORGE BROWN THEATRE SCHOOL

“I have had a great response from my students after Glenn Hall’s Industry lecture. The services and guidance Casting Workbook provided for our students was a terrific addition to our Business of Acting class. Students building their promotional materials and uploading them to Casting Workbook worked very well.”
Christina E. Collins, Professor, Acting for Film and TV program, HUMBER COLLEGE
